Kansas City should be in contention for a Wild Card spot with better SP health and something (anything!) from the outfield, namely Jac Caglianone developing, Isaac Collins proving his late-season swoon was a blip and Lane Thomas getting back to pre-2025 form.
Truthfully, haven't exactly decided what all I'm going to reveal about what's underneath the model. But Swing+ is built on physical characteristics of a swing, i.e.: https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/leaderboard/bat-tracking
I definitely wouldn't say it has nothing to do with the form of the swing. Bat speed is a hugely important signal. Also, Swing+ does not measure quality of contact -- that's what Damage+ is for.
I've been working on creating my own RBI+ stat but I'm struggling on how best to get my hands on the data in the quantities I want. I'd love to pick your brain about how you got all this figured out if you have the time!

I’m a little confused about Swing+… what exactly is that evaluated on?
